It's not a very big menu but diverse enough to offer something for everyone.
We started with a dozen oysters. They were very good but I was a little put out that we paid $35 and the folks in the bar we eating the same oysters for $1 each. If I had not been on vacation I would have told our server that I was going to the bar for oysters and I'd be back for dinner. Anyway, they were good.
We chose the Branzino and the cod. Server asked if we wanted anything with it. Turns out the sides are separate. I get it, it's La Jolla, but you'd think a $40 piece if fish would come with something else on the plate. Oh well, we ordered the carrots as a side. Bottom line, everything was fantastic! Perfectly prepared, fresh as can be, perfect flavors, just outstanding.
Our server was excellent, the room is beautiful in a quirky kind of way, overall a "A+" experience that was worth the price.
