We actually were here twice, not up to us we were being entertained and had two very different experiences. The good one started with cocktails and hours d'ouvres on deck with awesome view, followed by dinner at a great table with that same view. The other was in a windowless and charmless private room. First visit I had bronzino, very dry and tasteless. Second time king crab, just yummy. Appetizers varied, oysters were great! Good service. Very busy restaurant. Also pricey but so was everywhere else we went except for Mexican in old town

First off, this restaurant has very nice decors! The facade has some surf boards hanging from the ceiling, and there is a wall with "fins" (not sure what they are, but they look like fins made of wood and vibrantly colored). Great as a photo backdrop.

The food was great! I don't eat Hawaiian food very often, so I always try to pick something "new" to broaden my horizon. We ordered Luke's Loco Moco, fish tacos, and sauteed macnut. All of them were fantastic! I would order more, but I wouldn't have room in my tummy!

The view by the balcony was breathtaking. We didn't get a chance to sit at the balcony, but the restaurant has glass walls so you still get to see the water from the inside.

Great restaurant and superb food!

Ate here with a large company group. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. The ambiance is, of course, is surfing themed, in honor of native Hawaiian Duke Kahanamoku, an Olympic swimming and water polo medalist and the father of modern surfing. Naturally, seafood is the way to go when eating here!

This restaurant is slightly expensive but good seafood. Creative flavors of Hawaiian style. Nice view of La Jolla cove.
