My 12 oz NY Strip steak was terrible. 1. A 12 oz steak is too thin to cook medium rare. 2. I could only eat about 8 ounces of the steak because of gristle. 3. Most good steak houses serve a 16 oz steak that can be cooked a nice medium rare. 4. Everything was overpriced. 5. The service was mediocre at best.
My guests ordered fillets which were great. The sides were $10 to $15 and were just average. The side of mac and cheese was very good.
I wouldn't return. There are just too many good steak houses out there. Selanne's doesn't measure up.
