The bread, scallops, mac & cheese and the service (Miguel) are great. The 18oz bone in ribeye for $70; it should charge for $35 max! The $50 halibut is too salty and does not taste good at all. Very very disappointed for the $240 meals for two.

My 12 oz NY Strip steak was terrible. 1. A 12 oz steak is too thin to cook medium rare. 2. I could only eat about 8 ounces of the steak because of gristle. 3. Most good steak houses serve a 16 oz steak that can be cooked a nice medium rare. 4. Everything was overpriced. 5. The service was mediocre at best.
My guests ordered fillets which were great. The sides were $10 to $15 and were just average. The side of mac and cheese was very good.
I wouldn't return. There are just too many good steak houses out there. Selanne's doesn't measure up.

We dined at Selanne for our anniversary. Although I had noted the occasion on our reservation, we were initially offered a table in a busy area near the kitchen. A little disappointing but we were quickly offered a rooftop table when we objected. We started with a couple of cocktails - the Moscow Mule & Risky Business, both very tasty. Appetizers were the Waygy tartare and the beef ravioli. We followed that up with a ribeye and a NY steak. The ribeye was very good, though the standard problem of cooking a bone in meat properly was not resolved. The NY was fantastic. We brought a special bottle of our own wine and the $25 corkage seemed reasonable. We tried the mac & cheese and mixed mushroom sides and were delighted with both. Cheesecake & espresso for dessert left us "fat and happy".

This place is known as a steak house, but we ordered all over the menu and everyone was pleased. Service was perfect.

The food was AMAZING!!! The service was top notch...however, you get what you pay for. A dinner for two (being conservative in our choices, and a beer each) it was $230.00 when we were done.
