For an independent 1 story motor inn, this is way above average in quality upgrades & remodels. The bed was firm, the ceiling had a mural, the flooring is Pergo, and even the tile had an interesting pattern to it. Nice find for a 1 nighter.
Don't let the residential neighborhood or office/window put you off, this is a nice find. Plus it's 1 block off the PacCoastHwy & even has a Winchell's donut house on a nearby corner . . .

Room Tip: Close to the office, park in front of your room. Be careful backing out of the lot onto the street.

Did a good job on the bare essentials for an overnight stay. The was fairly large, everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and we got a good, quiet night's sleep. I am taking off one star for the lack of amenities. It did have a refrigerator and the air conditioner worked well, but there was no microwave, no coffee maker, no facial tissues, and the motel didn't have an ice maker. Since our main concern was a place to crash for the night, I would not hesitate to come back.

This motel is located in a residential area and appears to be a renovated motor lodge from days gone by (as noted by a previous reviewer.) I was not pleased with the walk up window behind glass but I'm guessing this is a sign of the times. I also thought some of the clientele were a little suspicious looking, this made me a bit uncomfortable as well. That having been said, the room was very clean although a bit dated in its decor. Thankfully it was very quiet as well, so for a night's sleep it was OK. I also was able to find eateries nearby so the location in that sense was alright as well. Not the greatest, but it did the job.

The owners are very nice, you check in at a walk up window. This is reminiscent of a 1950's motor lodge. The rooms are clean but have a smell of curry. It's on a busy street and parking is cramped. The ceiling has an interesting mural and there is a black light that you can turn on for effect. We just used it to sleep, nothing fancy. Bed was ok, no carpeting so floors were clean. It's just an inexpensive place to sleep.

I chose Kearney Motel from other reviews and found that it was clean, quite and convenient to the Carnival Cruise Terminal. I agree with other reviewers that from the outside it doesn't look like much but we liked the location for this one night stay, plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Room was clean and they had free WiFi.

Room Tip: From what i saw, all room looked exactly the same
