I stayed here for three nights in room 302.
I was waken up to mornings at 6:15 am by the noise of garbage trucks and I am not light sleeper. It kind of messed up my sleeping routine. Also you can hear people talking in the bath room (crystal clear) and walking upstairs.
In terms of transport, it is on the purple line. If you want to go to unicersal studios or Hollywood you have to change to red line so maybe a hotel on he redline would be better.

Good points:
Staff are helpful and professional.
Good free breakfast and a glass of wine in the afternoon
The hotel is beautiful.

Great rooms, awesome location, and a fantastic restaurant attached to the hotel (Cassell's) - not to mention all the amazing food in Koreatown. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. You will not regret staying here!

I have stayed here previously and I liked it a bit more-

Probably because the same " standard room" last time was a better one
beside that what I dislike a bit is the bed..not as comfortable as I remember
Also quite noisy ..you hear the people from upstair when the walk

the hood ( koreatown) is not one of my fave either

with that say the overall look of the hotel is quite cool

I would stay here again only if I would not have any other choices

The hotel's in an old building, beautiful maintained. The room was fine: not super luxurious, but the bed and bedding was good quality. Loved the free wine in the evenings. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was among the best included continental breakfasts I've had in a long time. Would stay there again if I had business in the area.

There is valet parking at this hotel and the accommodations are good. But the WiFi is really slow and the windows aren’t sealed ( and because it’s in the middle of k town, ambulances and fire trucks, police cars with siren will definitely wake you up in the middle of the night ). Highly recommend the hotel to upgrade their windows and WiFi speed. The actually room ( 1king bed regular guest room) is smaller than the the pictures on their website. Overall, good stay and good service

Thank you so very much for writing such a kind review! The preservation and restoration of many original details, like the windows, have earned the building a Historic-Cultural Monument designation from the City of Los Angeles. Because of this designation, replacing the windows is not possible, as they are original. We do have rooms not facing the street that are quieter for those who are more sensitive to the urban noise. The wifi though is a different story and I can fix that if there is a problem. I will have our IT do some testing throughout the hotel as the speed is normally pretty quick. We're happy to have been of service and look forward to seeing you again in the future!
