Food was great. Well prepared and authentic Polish cuisine. Servers were friendly and prompt. Portions were generous. Would definitely dine here again.

Went to this place on recommendation of a friend. Location not great, very small parking lot for several stores, no parking available when we arrived at 3pm, had to park a few blocks away on the street. Since we arrived definitely not during typical meal hours (we were there 3-5pm), we were surprised the restaurant was about half full. Very pleasant cozy atmosphere, although the seating in a booth for 4 people was somewhat cramped - very small booths. The menu was Polish/English but not that much explanation for non-Polish diners. Fortunately, there were also photos so we made our choices. Food was very good, no problem there. We could not judge its authenticity, but seemed authentic enough to us. We asked for separate checks - that did not happen. We received a printed bill that had all the meal dishes in Polish so it was something of a challenge to figure out who had what and figure out what each of us need to contribute. In this process it was discovered that an item was charged double its price in the menu. When we pointed this out, we were told that minimum crepe order is 2 crepes, which we received and ate, so we got charged double. But the menu gives one crepe at $5, which is what one of us ordered, no mention of minimum 2, and the $10 price was unexpected. This was settled by the restaurant manager saying we would not be charged for the item at all. We could hardly complain about this solution, but the whole unpleasant business could have been avoided if the waitress mentioned at the time the order was placed that there is a 2 crepes minimum costing $10, or if this had been mentioned on the menu. Otherwise we had a pleasant dining experience. The décor is simple but the lighting is just perfect, giving an overall cozy and intimate atmosphere. I personally had the tripe soup costing $6 which along with the rye bread was filling and satisfying. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Central European cuisine, the food was definitely very good.

The couple running Polka were friendly and enthusiastic about Polish food. When it became possible, they moved back to Poland leaving a younger relative the restaurant. Sad to say but he suffered a series of problems and Polka was closed for more than three years. Thankfully it is open again with a fresh remodel and the same Polish recipes everyone loved so. Alas, it is in the same cramped corner strip mall with little parking as before. The prices reflect a premium dining experience which it would be in a better neighborhood. Never mind, Polka is a gem well worth the trouble finding it.

A small but cozy place. The servers were friendly but what's good in this place is their food! Authentic and delicious! We asked what they recommend for first time visitors and they say it's the number 11! krolewski! The royal platter. It's a combination of 3 special entrees. It was so good and worth it of its price! I recommend you try the number 11 if its also your first time here!

Everything on the menu is fantastic….I've tried them all. A complete meal with soup and salad included. Very tasty and delicious. Each meal just made me return to try another dish.
