There are so many different Thai restaurants in Thai Town area near Hollywood. It is difficult to distinguish one to another and we usually keep coming back to the same place again to avoid confusion.

I read from Trip Advisor so many recommendation on the Roasted Pork over Chinese broccoli, I'd got to try that one. Roasted or deep fried belly pork with all its scary consequences is still the best part and treat one can have, finding great ones is a quest.

Yai delivers this dishes well, juicy white meat under the crackling skin ... and the Chinese broccoli balance the saltiness of the meat. I am still trying to figure out if roasted tastes better than deep fried, but they are all satisfying.

I also recommend the Crab Rolls and Thai Sausage. I will need to come back and explore more dishes.

I have been coming to Yai Restaurant for almost 5 years now and it doesn't disappoint. The food are freshly made, delicious, full of flavor, big portions and affordable. My favorites are panang chicken, roasted pork with Chinese broccoli and BBQ friend rice. The staffs are efficient and friendly. There's few parking Infront of the restaurant. Just don't park at 711 and for sure you'll be towed.

Good authentic Thai food. Very plain atmosphere. Not a place to take a date or a client. This is where you get crispy fried pork belly and garlicky green papaya salad with broccoli.

This place is ok, not particular good, not particularly bad and way behind many other Thai restaurants in California. This is more of a cafe. Less care taken over preparation than in a restaurant.
