Dishes are just about as authentic as you could possibly find outside of Thailand. This little hole in the wall place in the heart of Hollywood has withstood the test of time and has maintained its unpretentious offerings of food and atmosphere as it has for years. The quality and taste have been consistent, service is usually quick and courteous. Most items on the menu are as downhome as you would expect in Thailand. Prices have also been kept quite reasonable for the quality of food you get.

Overall - very positive experience if you prefer a genuine, no non sense place to have good Thai food without all the fluff. Not sure if it is an only "cash only" place; we usually just pay cash.

This is a little hole-in-the-wall but a friend heard good things about it and it gets high marks on YELP, so we gave it a try. Our Thai Town reviewer suggested the roasted pork (from the belly) and Chinese broccoli and it was superb. Far more tender than we expected. We also got a pad thai having read theirs was best in town. It was very wet and gooey, good, but far from the best in my opinion. From the yelp reviews, I'll be happy to try the duck curry on next visit.
This is in a mini-mall right next to Pier One on Hollywood, and it's a plain table, family restaurant. Cash only. Closed Tuesdays.

I love this fave Thai restaurant in Hollywood. Everything on you the menu is excellent, if you know your Thai food. Today I had the best dish here, roast pork with chinese broccoli, ask for extra garlic and ask for crispy skin pieces (their the best). The shrimp friend rice is excellent here also. Go through the menu to discover your favorite dishes.
They have a second Yai on Vermont, literally the same menu and larger restaurant. If you know your Thai food, you will love this place.

I like the Chinese broccoli mixed with roasted pork and rice. Also I like Seafoods
Combination meal. The restaurant is also appropriate for take-outs. For a dating
Couple and business meeting, I don't think this is very recommendable. The server
who took our order seems tired and in hurry. We feel not a traditional businesslike
attitude. But the restaurant overall is highly recommendable.
