“Fun, Imaginative Take on Mexican/French/Asian Influenced Food”
Review of Trois Familia

Ludo Lefevre and Friends have a winner here. One would think that with the high-powered chefs behind the Trois empire, this would be a high-end, stuffy, ego-driven eatery. Instead, it's a light-hearted, fun, imaginative, creative kitchen where almost anything goes and culinary surprises are welcome (like the chicken milanesa topped with pickles and shaved cucumber which was unlike any milanesa I've ever had - and I've had plenty since it's one of my favorite dishes).

Trois Familia combines Mexican, French and Asian touches in new ways that are a treat for the palate. It's open only until 3pm at present so it's mostly a breakfast/lunch place. It's usually packed and it's first-come, first-serve (you put your name on a list and wait outside until space is available). Well worth the wait, if any.

Line up for eclectic breakfast sandwiches, Nueske's bacon and quick service in this trendy communal tabled LA hot spot. Heuvos Ranchero on a croissant was spicy good.

a breakfast/lunch fun version of the trois mec's ludo lefevre restaurant. As Trois Mec it is located in an old little mall in the heart of Silver Lake, you cant book and you can expect some wait (put your name on the list outside as soon as you arrive) . You will share a bench with your neighbours and will in cheap dishware but you will not be disappointed by the food and the fun atmosphere and crowd.

Apparently this is a new LA hot spot. Being from NYC, my boyfriend and I are always keen to check out the latest in urban food alchemy. This place is tucked away in a little shopping plaza. The service staff was very friendly. The food was very good. I had the chicken Milanese and a potato taco. For dessert, we split the tres leches birthday cake. All of these dishes were fantastic, and none was too heavy (which can happen, I find, with either French or Mexican food). Well done!

A super delicious mash up of French and Mexican by Chefs Ludo, Jon and Vinny. Try the Milanesa, Beet Tartare Tostada and Iced Nutella Malt.
