When we moved to L.A., the Malibu Pier was closed due to storm damage. It took a family visitor to motivate us to drive there for lunch on a quite Tuesday afternoon, and we were thoroughly impressed. We had easy parking, a nice stroll, and then got an excellent outdoor table thanks to a considerate hostess and waiter who suggested a table for us. Here's what we had - high marks for all: Breaded Mustard Chicken Sandwich, Salmon Sandwich and a really interesting Zucchini crust pizza. (The pizza also made great leftovers.) The service was good, coffee was good, and we had a great view with fun people-watching. My organic vegetarian wife was very pleased. You'll pay a bit more for lunch, but it's worth if for the total experience.
