When we moved to L.A., the Malibu Pier was closed due to storm damage. It took a family visitor to motivate us to drive there for lunch on a quite Tuesday afternoon, and we were thoroughly impressed. We had easy parking, a nice stroll, and then got an excellent outdoor table thanks to a considerate hostess and waiter who suggested a table for us. Here's what we had - high marks for all: Breaded Mustard Chicken Sandwich, Salmon Sandwich and a really interesting Zucchini crust pizza. (The pizza also made great leftovers.) The service was good, coffee was good, and we had a great view with fun people-watching. My organic vegetarian wife was very pleased. You'll pay a bit more for lunch, but it's worth if for the total experience.

What a wonderful surprise! Indoor and outdoor seating at the start of the pier near the Malibu Inn. Lovely views. The inside dining area is really cute and ties in well to the farm to table theme of the menu. We loved the cauliflower crust pizza, I can't even tell you how much we loved it! The taco trio was also outstanding and full of flavor. 3 different tacos all exploded in your mouth with different flavors - highly recommend this. Squash lasagna was also delicious and all very filling. We had a salad that we ordered wrapped, so we could try the chocolate cake and it was delicious! If you're in Malibu, don't miss this restaurant.

My daughter received the cookbook from Malibu Farm as a gift some time ago, so it was natural that we had to check out the source while in Southern California. Who wouldn't love lunch with ocean breezes wafting through the dining room and stunning views of surfers and people enjoying the attached pier? It was a gorgeous day and the decor only emphasized the beauty of this restaurant and its surroundings.

Initially, I was concerned over a long wait with no reservation and a gathering crowd by the door, but we were immediately seated inside. Another option is their nice sized outdoor patio with tables that extend significantly down the pier, with a sister cafe at the end of the boardwalk, providing even more indoor/outdoor seating options.

Service was prompt upon arrival, but slow to deliver the food. We didn't care though, having the amazing views surrounding us. Admittedly the chicken salad was a nice portion, but had no memorable flavor. My husband enjoyed his Greek salad and daughter her veggie sandwich with a side dish consisting of grains, craisins and almonds. One is paying for the location and the view, so to be expected.

It made for a special memory to dine in such a lovely restaurant, then enjoy a stroll down the pier. An upscale gift shop is at the end of the Pier as their cafe and a coffee shop.

I highly recommend Malibu Farm for the experience alone to literally dine over the sea in Malibu, CA!

This is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner while in Malibu. Everything that we ordered was delicious! The steaks were out of this world. The watermelon juice was amazing! The service was good even though the place was packed! I will go back the next time I'm in the area.

Stumbled across this delight whilst in Malibu for the day. 20 minute queue, busy but atmospheric restaurant. Locally sourced, fresh ingredients, feel good food. Would highly recommend and would have visited again if we were in the area for longer.
