Really love the location of this hotel right on the beach and the pet friendly addition was what drew us here. Staff very courteous except for our initial contact checking in we waited awhile kind of felt we were being ignored as their was an additional male staff member not paying attention the female staff had to point it out to him. The bathroom facilities where cramped, for older visitors like us a larger mini fridge more accessible that does not move around so much and a higher of the floor. The coffee maker leaked and had to call for a replacement.

Lovely location, great service and helpful, caring, staff made this a great place to spend relaxing. The only down sides are the size of the bathroom (too small) and the need for maintenance work. Painting touchups are needed.

We were traveling from San Francisco to San Diego with another couple. Both of us agree this was our least favorite hotel and was definitely the most expensive. The Big Sur marathon was there while we were there so the price of the room was even more expensive. To start with only one person working the front desk at check out and it took forever to get our room. Room was on the bottom level and very outdated for the $400.00 dollars we paid. Rooms were nothing liked the rooms that were represented on the web site. I inquired and was informed there were no other rooms available. Rooms could have been cleaner. Our traveling partners had burned out lights and a broken hair dryer. No breakfast included. Very disappointed all around and in speaking with the front desk manager they were not interested in making adjustments to cost of room. Would not recommend this hotel especially for the cost. We stayed in much nicer hotels for half the cost, free breakfast and clean environment. Only nice thing was the view of ocean from the lobby.

Room Tip: Definetly upper levels best view, we were stuck on lowest level. Rooms looked nothing like rooms on the web site!!!

Beautiful resort, the resort fees and property taxes seemed a bit extreme since the price of the room was high. We loved our room and the view was spectacular. I never did see any clean up crew, or hospitality staff about the resort. Got a smile from one clerk behind the desk, seemed rushed.

Beach access and the sound of the waves in the room was an amazing experience. Willing to overlook some uncleanliness, but room not cleaned after spending all day at aquarium. Slow bar and food service
