Stayed just the one night, small basic room with a sink in the bedroom and a small bathroom with a walk-in shower. The shower was really powerful. There was an iron and a mini board and a hairdryer. There were toiletries, the towels could have been better quality. Bed linen was good quality. There is a small heated pool and a jacuzzi. The bar and restaurant is modern overlooking the bay, a lovely setting for breakfast. The hotel is a good 20 minutes walk to the bay with all the restaurants and boat trips. A nice walk past some lovely houses. We ate in House of JuJu, really good.

We left our credit card at the Inn at Morro Bay Restaurant. We realized this within a few hours and called the front desk. Another hour and the credit card was overnight delivered-to our new hotel! Thanks so much!!

We upgraded to a room with a view (50 dollars extra) which gave us a spectacular view of Morro Bay in the sunset. Needless to say the upgrade was absolutely worth it. The room was clean and spacious and had an own fireplace. They hotel has a pool area with a heated pool and a jacuzzi which was also very nice. Good parking, good wi-fi connection and very friendly staff. Would stay again.

We stayed two nights. The room was adequate, one of the rooms on the lowest level closest to the bay. We expected a full bay view but instead had only a partial view looking through the cars parked in front of our room. Disappointed there. Walking into the parking area and to the fence gave a lovely view in the evening light, low morning light and full daylight. The birds in the rookery adjacent to the property were very active and added to the ambiance. The property has been recently upgraded, the quality of the work was OK. Our entire room and bathroom were very clean other than a dusty shelf area under the sink. The bathroom had an extra sink in the WC/shower area which was helpful. The shower was large and comfortable but the curtain barely stayed inside the tile area so water could get on to the rest of the floor. Where were the towel bars to hang up our towels so we could comply with the water-saving program? And why do hotels, including this one, buy the cheapest toilet paper?? Lighting was low and not good for applying makeup. The bed was a generous king size, very firm, although it sat on a weird platform which was not centered in the headboard. The nightstand drawer did not stay closed - an odd obstacle to remember to avoid. The shutters on the large windows could hit the ceiling fan that hung too low and was installed in an odd spot too close to the windows - oops! The room did not have a fireplace or balcony like pictured so this was disappointing. There was one office-type chair at a fixed desk and one dirty chair outside the door and no table to sit at to enjoy the view or have a light snack or meal with the view. The refrigerator did not have a freezer compartment but then the entire fridge was like a freezer and froze much of our snacks and fruit!! The restaurant on the premises looked nice but the timing of meals for us occurred when we were off site so we did not try it. Also did not use the pool or hot tub but that area looked very nice. Parking was free and we always got a spot near our room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a nice quiet spot for a relaxing stay with plenty of scenery and lots to do nearby: Hearst Castle, coastal driving and wildlife spotting, outdoor activities, museums, shopping and dining in the area which was good but not great and pricey due to the location. We would stay here again but would perhaps be more specific about which room and its features.

Very good location and view. Very friendly staff. Right on the Bay and next to Great Blue Heron Rookery. Great bird watching opportunity.

Room ameneties above average for the price. Price of food at Restaurant on the high side. Booking early could save some money.

Room Tip: Book Early, Ask for Bay View.
