What a fun venue to host a family celebration. The staff were friendly. There’s ample parking. And the food was pretty good. The grounds were picturesque. The hotel is easily accessed from the highway.

My husband and I spent two nights here while we were in wine country. Our room was clean very comfortable. The room was a mini suite with a seating area and very small kitchen with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. The pool area is beautiful. The breakfast buffet had just about anything you would want, and it was constantly being replenished. The breakfast area was also very clean with the tables being cleaned and cleared quickly. The major downside to the location is that getting in and out of the parking area on to Airport Drive can be very difficult due to high traffic volumes at rush hour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

SpringHill Suites was an amazing choice for our wedding hotel. In addition to providing a great (extremely competitive) rate in Napa, the quality was amazing. The rooms are really nice, the pool is lovely, continental breakfast is exactly what you’d expect, bar (with beer and wine) is nice and hang-out areas abound (including a fire pit). There were plenty of places for our guests to hang out, so even though there were other groups in the hotel, we could always find each other. We also took advantage of the ability to keep the bar open, so we were able to have an “after-party” both after our rehearsal dinner and our wedding (for a minimum spend). I would definitely recommend SpringHill Suites in Napa for big groups!

Room Tip: Pool view rooms are nice and green.

We stayed at Springhill Suites while visiting Napa Valley. We were golfing at Chardonnay golf course and this hotel is nearby. It is not as convenient to dining and shopping. We liked the suite layout and comfortable beds. We found the hotel reasonably quiet, although the room air conditioning is a bit noisy. Breakfast is included and they have a good selection of both hot and cold food.

Although this SpringHill Suites seems to be a more updated model, the basic concept is the same and I found out 4 day experience there to be just so-so. So here's the good and the not-so-good:

Good:
Breakfast is good. As long as you can get there once they are delivering scrambled eggs that are replacing hard, over cooked eggs, you'll enjoy the hot entree, and either sausage patties, veggie patties, or sometimes bacon strips. The make your own waffles are great, lots of fresh bananas, etc. I enjoyed breakfast daily, and you can take it outside (weather permitting) to enjoy.

Housekeeping did a fine job. Our assigned housekeeper Soledad was fantastic.

The pool area is lovely, and the hot tub is truly hot enough to break a sweat. Very relaxing and wonderful.

There is plentiful free parking and several different entrances.

Not-So-Good:
The beds are not that great, and with the moderate noise of the air conditioning going on and off, we found it challenging to get a good night's sleep.

Upon check-in, you receive two small bottles of water for your entire stay, regardless if it's one night or several nights. Even Marriott Platinum's only get two small bottles of water. We asked for more, and were consistently turned down despite my Marriott Status. Cheap!

The side door from the parking lot is supposed to have access to the hotel only with use of a valid guest key. We found the door to be wide open all the time, including as late as 11 p.m. This is a big security flaw.

We found it very challenging to control the room temperature using the thermostat in room. We would set it each day at the same temperature, and it seemed to have a mind of its own. Sometimes the A/C would turn on and turn off inexplicably.

For the price paid, they could invest in better towels. These reminded me of high school gym type towels.

Overall, we probably would not stay here again.

Dear mshbnyehud,

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor -

Although I appreciate all the comments, I am saddened to hear we only earned three stars, as it appears you had many positives during your time with us.

We thank you for being a Marriott Rewards Member and as I am sure you are aware of all your benefits you get with that (regardless of the amount of nights you are staying).

Should you stay with us, or any other Marriott in the future, I encourage you to ask for a Manager on Duty if your stay is not up to par (such as your noted challenges) and/or you truly would just like additional bottles of water, as we would be more than happy to accommodate and correct the issues, rather than reading about it days after you have departed.

Thank you again for the review!

Kindly,

Brandon Jacobsen, General Manager
