This old boarding house and restaurant used to be a stopover for railroad passengers going towards the timber rich valleys north of here. It was and still is famous of its complete 5 course meals in which families in all directions traveled great distances to celebrate special occasions. Note the ballroom and checkered tablecloth dining rooms were framed from redwoods from their own ranch. Pictures of the rich history of Italian past generations decorate it's walls. Saloon is pretty much an original. Many add-ons like a pizzeria and bakery have been added years later. Superb outside patio dining. Finally the food. My family brought me here decades ago for legendary homemade ravoili or spaghetti and meatballs. Still a MUST !!
THE RIBEYE STEAK, IF YOU CAN MANAGE THIS MUCH FOOD BEFORE, IS SERVED TO PERFECTION. PRIME CUT !!!
you will doggy bag at some point of your meal. Plan where ! Pizzas to share with another are decent. Prices quoted include all those delicious pre entree plates. Minestrone soup and antipasti standout. Kids portions available. Handicap accessible. Groups allowed but really need a reservation. Gets quite busy in the evenings. Reserve table beforehand if you wish to sit outside. Beautiful surroundings
A memorable experience be had.
