Miro's is supposed to be the #1 restaurant in Palm Springs. It has been around a long time, and is quite nice...white tablecloths, friendly service, etc. But they specialize in Eastern European food, which is not for everyone. They have other things, but the menu is heavy on goulash, cabbage, etc. You don't really need to order an appetizer because each main course comes with salad or soup. We had a cabbage soup and chopped cabbage salad...both were excellent. Main courses were OK but not special. A little heavy for my taste, but that's the style of restaurant it is. Service was very good.

We have been eating at Miro's for years. The atmosphere has always been warm and welcoming. Over the years, the food quality has remained consistently excellent with beautiful presentation. The daily specials and the menu choices continue to change. There are new selections, but the consistent excellent quality continues. The service is friendly. attentive and professional, without the pretense and the attitude. In all of the times we have eaten at Miro's, we have never been disappointed in any aspect of an evening spent there.

First off, beautiful setting and outstanding service! At such an expensive price (our one appetizer and two entrees was $100), the food was a big disappointment. Escargot starter was served in a slimy, film-covered gravy (how can you mess up butter and garlic? I suspect they added corn starch). Covering the snails in slime was off putting. Then my entree arrived: shrimp and scallops, supposedly in beurre blanc, but it was covered in the same weird gravy as the snails, but with chopped tomatoes thrown in! Scallops were colorless and the lumpy mashed potatoes were flavorless. My companions's pork leg was a bit dry and flavorless, like it was sauced after cooking. Couldn't finish anything.

Food was hot and delicious. The new decor is warm and welcoming. We shared the Burek, cabbage salad and the lentil soup. My wife had the beef stroganoff and I had the special, Moroccan beef stew. The blend of spices and flavors were mouth-watering. Selection of wine by the glass met our needs. We took our time and Our server read that we weren’t in a hurry. However, we could have finished our Pinot noir long before he served our dinners because there was that much of a wait. Deliberate? Then he dropped off the dessert menu and forgot us. There was too much lag time and we were done. Definitely would recommend Miro’s for dinner again and again.

We discovered Miro’s this winter and are delighted to have found it.
It’s a lovely setting, both on the (heated) patio and inside the dining room.
The service is experience and professional, and the food is very tasty.
Both the Caesar salad and the cabbage salad are excellent, and I’m told that the mushroom soup is, as well.
The Budapest schnitzel (pork instead of veal) was fine, and the husband loved his fish.
Because soup or salad are included with the entree, it’s quite reasonably priced for the quality of food and service.
We’ll be back!
