This is a wonderful loop hike up to the waterfall and back. There is a charge of $12.50, definitely worth it. Plenty of parking. We went early and the canyon was partially shaded, this is important when it’s hot out. Take water and good walking shoes. It’s a dirt path with some rocks not a place for a stroller or someone unsure of their footing. They do offer a ranger lead hike, but if that doesn’t work it’s just a beautiful place to spend a couple of hours.

We stopped here on our way into town. We really enjoyed it. We paid about $25.00 per couple. The map provided was fairly easy to follow. There are two sides and we took the rougher trail on our way in and the easier on the way out.

Would recommend for a picnic hike to the waterfallls. Start earlier in the fall to take advantage of the light. Wear good shoes.

Expensive at $12.50 per person, this hike is great if you have limited time. Overall a nice hike with a waterfall at the mid-point. The payoff for us was the small herd of Big Horn Sheep we encountered. WOW!

Fairly short hike to a waterfall. 2 miles easy to moderate. You can swim in the natural pool when you get to the top.

We visited on a quiet day and had a lovely two hour (slow) walk up to the canyon and the waterfall at the top (it was 34c and our 5 year old son coped well when fuelled with snacks). We saw a lot of wildlife on the walk (lizards, birds, frogs) and its very peaceful -
you are so small compared to the huge rocks. There is no real shelter so take plenty of water for the trip on a hot day, but was definitely a highlight of palm springs.
