My wife and I have been eating here every year during Alameda County Fair. We have lunch almost everyday while the fair is going. However this year the food is prepared very sloppy and all the ingredients are not in or on the food. The food seems to be just thrown together. Also the staff should be schooled on health safety. When you remove the cover on the ice machine to refill with ice you don't put the lid on the floor and then right back on the ice machine. Very gross to think that what has been tracked on the floor is now in your ice for sodas or tea.

This Pleasanton location has a more upscale setting with reasonable prices. Their menu is quite simple so patrons won't feel overwhelmed when they walk in.Their veggie burger has a good grilled taste with onions melted into the cheese. Mmm. Quite good. Love their tempura green beans. The batter is crispy on the outside while the green beans are juicy on the inside. At least my menu choiceis not extreme high fat burger or low cal salads. The veggie burger is a healthier alternative to the burgers. The tempura green beans is healthier alternative to french fries. It's almost like having your cake and eat it too. I also like their customer service.

The service and food are always pretty right one. Sure beats In-n-Out. Try the fried green beans and the fresh green tea is excellent- not the usual. We get char burgers with a lettuce wrap and save on the calories. No extra charge.

I walked into The Habit at around 12:25 PM on a recent Wednesday. I expected at least some sort of line and probably some trouble snagging a table. Surprisingly there was no line and tables were available. I ordered the #1 meal, a burger, fries, and a drink. My order came out with the burger dried out and burnt on the edges and the fries were limp. If you held one up it bent over at a 90degree angle. (Except for the one that was still cold in the middle.) I should have taken the lack of diners at The Habit as an omen.
