We visited the place with a large party of 8, half of them - kiddos, for brunch. Although we came in close to their kitchen cut-off time, they gave us plenty of extra time. The tapas were awesome, their custom drinks - also great. We loved the service and the food, and will come back! The only part that should be managed better is to serve everything at the same time, exactly. Otherwise, when everybody is hungry, and tapas are by definition - small plates, the experience is a bit hectic. So ask them to serve it all at once! We will next time!

Two things attracted us to this restaurant: 1) we really like great tapas and 2) Sabio posted a really enticing Mothers' Day Prix Fixe menu. Everything about this restaurant exceeded expectations (and that happens very rarely with me). First, the ambiance is great - tables well-spaced in an environment of "contemporary Spanish." Secondly, the service was fantastic - attentive but not intrusive. We met two servers, the manager, and the sommelier. Next, the special menu was fantastic: beautifully prepared, inventively presented and delicious - a melange of flavors in every bite of the three course meal. Finally, the total tab - while expensive (but not by Bay Area standards) was an excellent value. Couple that with a Best of Spectator wine list (a bit too expensive, however) and one has the makings of a great dining experience, which this was. We cannot wait to return to experience the actual tapas menu. Highly recommended.

The Tapas are wonderful - the drinks are good / wine list lots of good choices of wines by the glass or bottle. Service and ambiance make for a most pleasant evening.

Our group thought he Pork belly and lamb sausage tapas were great. There were a couple of vegetarians in our group - no problem - as the humus, asparagus and cauliflower dishes were tasty as well. We shared the strawberry shortcake and Opera cake, and churros deserts. All were tasty, but the Opera cake was the favorite.

We were underwhelmed by the charcuterie board.

The only downside is that the beverages are pricey.

Sabio serves in a tapas style, with smaller dishes to be shared. However, the menu is several cuts above your standard (or traditional) tapas offerings. The taste pairings in each dish are very imaginative. The beet salad was exceptional as were the twice baked potatoes with cod. We weren't as impressed with the lavender nuts. The GSM super Tuscan wine was a nice addition. Just know that, with your meal consisting of several small dishes, that your tab will add up. It is worth it but best reserved for a special night out.
