You might say that BJ's is a typical brewhouse and restaurant brand, which provides an extensive menu, moderate prices, and very good service. We stopped in for lunch while on a lengthy road trip, and I enjoyed an excellent shrimp salad and my wife the chicken fried steak. Staff was very pleasant and attentive, and the surroundings very enjoyable. We have seen this brand elsewhere, and won't hesitate to stop in for a nice, predictable meal.

Fun restaurant, large menu with good food. Desserts were the best part. Our waiter was excellent and had good knowledge of the entire menu, and the menu is huge.

We had 2 large tables. The place was full but by no means packed.
Service was very slow.
The food was typical bar food.
I ordered a Ribeye steak. It had average flavor and more than normal gristle.
Most were consumed with the game.
I was not impressed and recommend going elsewhere

I ate at BJ's on a Wednesday evening during a business trip in the area. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality for such a large chain.
I had the bacon-guacamole deluxe with one pint of Jeremiah Red and one pint of Hopstorm.
While the burget hit the spot, the guac needed a little better seasoning, and the bacon was a little uneven. All in all, a tasty blend of hamburger, with enough seasoning, the chipotle mayo had almost no spice to it, but the jalapenos picked up the assist. A solid go-to burger. The fries however were a little over seasoned, but that is kind of expected in a brew pub where the beverages are on equal footing with the food.
Having said that, both the Jeremiah Red and Hopstorm IPA were nice. They were better than average. The red is a malty, Irish style beer that has a slightly elevated alcohol at 7.5%, yet is still smooth and slightly sweet. The Hopstorm is an IPA that is not very "hoppy" so it is more citrusy than initially expected. The alcohol content is 6.5% with 65 IBU's, so it can pair with a wide range of items.
I have avoided this chain in the past, but no longer.
