We had a business meeting at Sacremento and we went to this place to have Lunch. This is a hotel with restaurant facilities on a Big Boat anchored at the s
River bank. I do not say it's wow but it's okay.Sceneries are outstanding more romantic. Food pricey, Service very late, But the stewards are with a smile.

Fun for one night! If you like history or a stay that is a bit unique, then you'll enjoy a night on the charming Delta King. The rooms were fine for a remodeled old riverboat. The breakfast was enjoyable. One night is plenty to get the flavor of this experience.

Room Tip: Water view is good, but seeing Old Sacramento on the other side of the boat is fun, too.

What a great, historical riverboat of a restaurant! Everything about our experience was wonderful. The food: great! The view: spectacular! The service: divine! My 7 year old grandson loved it too. Loved it!

The Delta King is a refurbished river boat. I had a water view in a small room. Remember you're on a river boat, not a specifically built hotel - standard rooms are smaller with flat screens and wifi. The lighting, plumbing and HVAC system are all older and in-line with the period era of the boat. My room was inadequate to work in, but I was not there to work and only enjoy the stay, and Old Town Sacramento. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Both breakfast and dinner (Kobe Burger) were outstanding.

Room Tip: If traveling as a couple ask for a larger room - West facing will let you look at River, maybe warmer in the afternoons.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had really good smelling soaps. We liked the old fashioned bathroom elements like the claw foot tub, pull chain flush, and pedestal sink. The entire boat is tilted which bothered me at first, but I got used to it. We valeted our car for about $20. The valets were quick and friendly, and we felt more comfortable having it parked in a garage than on the street or in a self park garage that would require us to move the car early in the morning. We had a deal for free breakfast for each adult. The dining room was nice and the food (eggs, muffin, potatoes, and choice of meat) was good. The service was really slow even though it wasn't crowded, but the servers were very nice. There are a bunch of cool little shops right across the street. We would stay again.
