We ordered the special rolls. Dragon. Rainbow. Spider Roll. The fish was fresh and presentation was beautiful. The newly remodeled 7 month old establishment is Zen inspired and brightly lit. The sushi bar is beautiful. I recommend sitting up at the bar if you can.

This restaurant situates in a nondescripted strip of El Camino in non-foodie town of San Bruno. It's a quality Japanese restaurant in an unexpected location.

Driving by it & quickly checked on line for any reviews (positive) & decided to take my mom to give it a try. She liked it.

This place is about 7-month-old. I am told the Japanese owner/chef has been working for others in SF for many years. It takes he & his team a while to find this location (next to a Rib Shack). His team hired a Japanese firm to transform the previous rundown interior to reflect the owner/chef's vision.

The one-room space is bright & airy, simple with wooden tables. Sushi Bar area is un-pretentiously elegant. It's more upscale than the average Japanese restaurants.

The lunch Manu averages $12 - 14 per plate, medium charge. There are also special dishes posted on a wall. My mom says its miso soup is very good.

I forgot the names of dishes we ordered, but one was the organic wild mushroom (under appetizer). They were all tasty. However I was surprised by the dry rice that could improve to the Japanese fluffy kind I prefer.

My daughter had its black sesame & white miso ice cream made by one of the SF famed ice cream makers.

Parking is off the street.

We are delighted to discover this tasty Japanese restaurant!
