Friendly staff member who was willing to answer questions that we had. The visit went great. We even bought a few little things while in the shop. It was great to learn the history, too!

We stopped into the surfing museum while walking along the cliff road and enjoying the gorgeous scenery in Santa Cruz. The displays are somewhat faded, but it did provide some interesting old pictures of the early days of surfing on the California coast.

Great stop for tourists to learn a surfing history of this town. It's very small but charming full of old pictures and artifacts. I'd bring kids to teach them about sea world and local surfing history.

Located in the Mark Abbott Memorial Lighthouse at Lighthouse Point on West Cliff Drive, the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum is a great place to learn about the history of the surf, specially in the States and mainly in Santa Cruz. This is a must if you like history and sports.

We stumbled across this museum. We were here to see the lighthouse and were happily greeted with a surf museum. Fitting and creative way to reuse the space.
The info and artifacts were great. Not a surfer, but gained an appreciation for those who are.
Nice spot to watch the surfers just outside the lighthouse.
