Neighbourhood: Santa Monica
Description: Established in 2012. From hospitality visionary Brent Bolthouse comes The Bungalow; a paradigm in romantic socializing and creative meeting space for the Westside of Los Angeles.. Uniquely positioned as a freestanding bungalow at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, CA, the space provides guests with expansive ocean views, lush gardens, rustic interior designs, sweeping decks, stylish meeting spaces and intimate patios, all of which will be complimented by superior service, refreshing cocktails and an exclusive menu designed and provided by Chef Yousef Ghalaini FIG restaurant. Specialties The Bungalow is a space that evokes a breezy, beachside Baja lifestyle. The place feels more like a home than a bar, with mismatched tables, chairs and couches. In addition to the front deck with its fire pits, lush foliage and twinkling tree lanterns, the Bungalow also has a laid-back game room with a pool table, a private dining room, a back garden and a large main bar with high raftered ceilings. Moroccan tile work, Mexican blankets, multiple fireplaces, whitewashed walls, French doors and custom brickwork complete the scene.

This has become probably the hottest nightspot in Santa Monica if not the Westside. It has a very trendy cool vibe.

The vibe in a this bar is really cool. Reminds me of a beach house party. Very busy no matter what night. Really cool place to visit if you’re out and about in Santa Monica!

I am a business traveller and in 2017 I stayed at The Fairmont in Dallas, San Jose and Santa Monica. I believe this is my fourth visit to The Fairmont Miramar where my company holds our year end regional meetings. I spend most of my life on the road staying in many hotels. It is always a treat to visit Santa Monica. With the Pacific Ocean and SM pier across the street to the wonderful restaurants and shopping near by, this is always one of my top places to stay. It shows when a hotel works hard to earn your business and in my opinion, The Fairmont Miramar delivers a truly exceptional experience every visit. Also, my wife and I are big fans of Le Labo products that we first discovered here at The Fairmont.

This is a definite must see for a night that can be either chill or party central. The line was long to get in but it moved fast. No cover charge. The set up, decor is beautiful. I would go there over and over if I could. The vibe really sets the tone for the experience. It really does feel like you are at a friend's house. It can get super crowded but it was nice to just walk around and explore until you found a room that suited you.The only negative was how possessive one of the bouncers/security was about sitting. A friend tried to move a chair to our area and the bouncer freaked out saying it was blocking the whole pathway and the bar. The thing is when we moved the chairs in, it wasn't blocking anything. That killed the vibe so we just moved to another room. Other than that, I highly recommend coming here and also walking down the main street after to look over at the pier. Some of it was still lit up and you could see the water too!

This is a very cool spot that seems so out of place—yet somehow so perfectly situated—on the grounds of the Fairmont Hotel. Chic, Ratty Retro in all the right ways and looks like an old California beach spot should. It's as if a rich kid's parents left town and he invited 400 of his best friends over for a rousing party at their beach bungalow. Beautiful people having a splendid time. Standing elbow to elbow at the bars and having some strong cocktails. Chatty and loud. Don't miss it.
