Wanted something warm and quaint on a cold rainy night in Sausalito . Had a great meal last time there thought I would give it another go. Warm ,small ,nice pictures and atmosphere perfect for a dreary rainy night.Ordered the "chicken tica Marsala "which is the bomb" must get dish!with the rack of lamb special ,rice and garlic Rosemary naan.It was fabulous!Would go back and order exact same thing. Many other items on menu to test your palette had "goat" one time which was good had tandoori another time that was a little dry.Service was good and prices real good whole dinner for 2 We had with 2 drinks $61 great deal compared to most southern Marin restaurants.Nice different cuisine for a change of pace in Sausalito .

The whole family loved this place! Friendly/patient wait staff explained the dishes and were spot on with their recommendations. Not for the "I don't like..." and "I only like.." picky eaters, so leave them home. Don't they just ruin meals anyways? Try something new like the pistachio dessert or some of their meat dishes. Definitely interesting and the kids LOVED the fresh naan. My husband left with a new taste for a beer he'd never heard of before.

I loved the food while traveling in India and Nepal so it was nice to find a place cooking the food of the Himalayas right here in Marin County...

This restaurant is on the north end of Bridgeway, a mile or two from downtown Sausalito – a long walk, or a short drive. There is plentiful parking behind the building, accessed by a side-alley or, more easily, off the side-street to the south.

This is an unassuming, casual restaurant with a dark woodsy interior of wooden chairs and tables, which altogether give a good feeling – the kind of place that makes a good “first date”. But we decided to do take-out, at their 5 pm opening time, on a weekday. Our order was ready in about 10 minutes. We tried the Jasha Maroo and the Churi Pama, both listed as “regional cuisine”. These are vegetable-laden meat stews that were delicious on the supplied rice (which was better-than-average rice, too). These dishes were lighter than typical Indo-Pakistani curries, but were surprisingly filling nonetheless. There is nothing that we can compare them to. We also tried the Badami naan (cherries and fennel!) and the coconut naan. Both were soft, moist, and sweet, and made a great “dessert” after the stews. Again, there is nothing that we can compare them to. We also tried a starter that involved a puffed-rice salad, which was deliciously different but difficult to describe.

Run by a genuine Nepalese family.

We rarely give 5 Stars to a casual restaurant, so we make our usual disclaimer that we have no personal or financial interest in this institution. But we’ll be back.

We shared a dinner with four people and shared the small sampled dishes around, so that we each got a little taste over rice. It was very filling and great spices!
