We have visited Ella's twice now after hearing about it from my sister who lives in nearby Santa Cruz. Tucked away in a more "industrial" looking area within the Watsonville airport one may not realize it is there without hearing about it from someone. The first time we sat in the covered patio area off the main dining room. It was nice, casual and comfortable. We did not realize that we were arriving in between main serving times, but the items offered were fine with us. Included were salads, pizza and other lighter type dishes. It was satisfying and tasty. We returned this past weekend and made it in time for brunch. This time we were seated in the area near the bar and adjacent to the outdoor patio. It was fine and cozy and cooler than the patio since it was a warm day outside. We will need to return again to experience the main dining area. My husband enjoyed his Italian style eggs benedict very much. The potatoes with it had a delicious flavor. I went for a small caesar salad with grilled shrimp. It was good, on the small side, but delicious. The lemonade tasted as if it were fresh squeezed and not from a mix.
This is a nice, casual place to visit when taking Sunday drive as we often do to the Watsonville area. Nice and attentive servers as well.
