What a pleasant find in Boulder. From farm to kitchen, the chef has a nice variety on his menu from mussels, organic oak fired chicken breast to grass fed steak. What a nice meal our family had! This is just good food. Bon Appétit.

I’ve been here twice in a row for brunch. They are amazing. Simply put! The food is top notch, the location is perfect and the staff deserves any compliment I can make! Super friendly while professional. They even perfectly accommodate my wife gluten allergy (she’s coeliac, so). My favorite eating place in Boulder

e were very happy when Salt opened up again, it being one of our favorite restaurants in Boulder. The ambience is calming; the service excellent; and the food both tasty and attractively presented. We are vegetarians and the only downside we find when we go for dinner is that there is generally only one vegetarian entry. True, as Brad mentioned, they always do have the Power Salad , but in terms of entrees there is only which we split. It was the vegetarian cassoulet, complete with Morel mushrooms that Brad had picked. Delicious. We also had a tomato soup which was very tasty, a very good Cesar salad, and a Brussel sprout dish with a beet puree. Also excellent. I've taken meant eaters to Salt and they always rave about it. Though we went for dinner this time we often go for lunch. The lunch food is just as good and the prices quite attractive.

Boulder is a very special little town and Pearl Street is the fun main street with lots of restaurants and little stores. If you're looking for a higher end but relaxed dining experience, you must go to SALT. We had two excellent meals there this week - one for brunch (they made an excellent omelet w/ amazing potatoes) accompanied by a mellow Grateful Dead soundtrack (it's Boulder after all!) and one for dinner (tasty chicken, great mussels, amazing cheesecake and lovely glasses of wine.) We ate in their expansive outdoor area in front of and along side the restaurant both times... so much fun to people watch. Indoor seating looked Very nice, too. The waitstaff was excellent, the chic hostess made us feel that we were a part of a cool "in" place and the chef's philosophy of good healthful organic food carried the day (both days). Next time we plan to try the steak! All in all, we had a great time and great meals.

Came here for the healthy, local fare.
Our server (from NYC and with an odd, offish air about him) was not very helpful, knowledgeable or even mildly friendly - just did what was required. He didn't even know anything about local brews. All of the other servers were notably helpful.
Then, the food (gnocchi and vegetable coussulet) sadly, wasn't nearly as appetizing as expected or merited the price.
Hoped for a lot more but should be easily remedied for future guests.
