Description: Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Tucked into a quiet neighborhood this is a great little place to grab some lunch, dinner or brunch. Wonderful food - great lamb burger and more. I always grad my plane lunch at their location at the airport - they will prepare anything on the menu. SOooo good!

So seldom do we come across a restaurant that pushes the limits and succeeds so perfectly. The food is beautiful to look at, challenging to think about, filled with pleasant surprises. Unexpected elements are brought together and...work. Creamy quinoa risotto on a bed of rich pea purée topped with little chunks of lamb bacon the size of the peas scattered about. Pleasant contrasts of roasted corn and pieces of cashew. Crown of chiffonade of mixed greens and sprouts. I could go on. Server (Rachael) friendly, knowledgeable, interested, curious. Desserts amazing. Chai creamy all the way down like a flat white and spicy, peppery.

Parking spotty. Think there may be valet but didn't realize it until I had parked a couple of blocks away.

Would go back in half a heartbeat.
