Definitely one of the best dining experiences I've had in Denver. Notice I said "dining experiences " not just food. The restaurant is beautifully designed, large yet very intimate, with creative lighting and placement of plants. An industrialized space made warm and inviting, and very interesting to consider. The food is excellent, with a mix of extremely fresh sushi as well as nicely done global small plates. Excellent sake selection. Adam was our server, and he was knowledgeable and very attentive, making good suggestions as to food and drink. All in all, a beautiful space with great food.

I am very adventurous, and have tried many sushi restaurants in the Denver area. A few places have come close to being better than Izakaya, but this restaurant is by far the best. The food is so fresh, clean tasting, and beautifully prepared. The sashimi melts in your mouth, and the combination of flavors in all their rolls, basic to advanced, are balanced and taste amazing. The staff is some of the most polite, and customer service oriented people in the business here in Denver. As far as pricing, you can most definitely eat well, have a few drinks, and still get out of there for under $100 for 2 people including tip. Living so close to this restaurant has been tough, because I constantly crave their food. If there is one restaurant to try in Denver, this is it!

Went to a business dinner here on the suggestion of a colleague who lived nearby. Immediately noticed the decor. It's a very cool modern Asian look. Hostess and wait staff were excellent. The sushi was not the best I ever had (that was Sasabune HI) but it was very, very good, and quite creative. My only real complaint was that the front room where we sat was completely open to the the sidewalk. Sounds cool, but SO MANY people had a post-meal smoke right there. I found the incoming smoke really distracted from the experience. This is why I gave 2 stars for atmosphere when it would otherwise easily rate 5. If cigarette/cigar smoke bothers you when you eat, do not eat in the front room with the open windows. Parking in the Pearl Street area is tough. Arrive early and expect to do a few laps around the surrounding neighborhood to find a spot.

This waitstaff is very well-trained. One night 4 of us asked our waiter for suggestions since we found we often ordered the same stuff in sushi bars. We ended up putting the entire experience in his capable hands, from food to sake to dessert. He told us how he planned to stage/mix cold and hot, fatty and lean, and checked in periodically to see if we wanted another round. It was absolutely fantastic!!!!!! It was $150/couple and worth every penny. On a return visit we had a different server and he was pretty good as well. Feel out the situation and if you feel like letting go, trust your server and enjoy the results. BTW, the interior design is sleek, sophisticated and just plain cool. Every room is like a whole different experience and they're all good experiences.
