Five family members agreed to meet for a mid-week restaurant dinner. Like many students, the two boys really wanted pizza and others were ready for something different. We thought Vincent would have something for everyone. The restaurant tables and bar seating were busy when we arrived at 7 PM. Although Vincent’s slogan is “Heavenly Pies & Pasta,” they have many other choices including interesting appetizers, soups and salads, seafood, chicken, pork chops and a kids’ menu. We were not in a hurry for dinner, so we enjoyed visiting while our meals were prepared. The boys and their dad ordered a large ½-cheese, ½-pepperoni pizza to share. My wife selected the shrimp & grits entrée with bacon, mushrooms, and diced asparagus in a white wine cream sauce over cheddar polenta. That was a great version of this basic dish. My lasagna with Italian sausage and beef and a side of broccoli was a hearty and savory dinner. All our meals were large enough that we took home some for the next day. Our waitress was always pleasant. All in all, we had a good experience at Vincent.
