The Vapor Caves are like no ther Experience we have had. Very, very interesting. My husband had a massage and it was excellent!! If you don’t enjoy saunas/ steam rooms, don’t go The the Vapor Caves. Nice area to cool down and enjoy a cup of clean, lemon infused water. Dress in a bathing suit. Stay in the Caves for recommended 10-15 minutes, go upstairs in a great room and cool off then do it again. Well worth the experience and we will be back.

This is definitely not for the faint of heart, and probably not great for anyone who has anxiety. It might depend on a person's tolerance of heat, but I thought I had a pretty high tolerance and come from a fairly humid climate, and it was so oppressive that it made it difficult for me to breathe, so it was a little jarring when I first went in. I did adjust after going in and cooling down a couple of times and the heat was very relaxing once I got a little past the difficulty breathing on top of the unusual smell, but I'm not sure I would do it again. Definitely worth the experience, though.

Definitely worth the visit- felt great after sweating it out in the hot caves for about 15 minutes each trip down and using the cool shower down below to keep comfortable- quiet and meditative
One draw back were the white plastic tubs to keep cool water in- they were cracked and kind of gross - would be nice to get your own bucket at check in

These are well worth a visit in Glenwood Springs. The caves are naturally heated, probably closer to steam room than a sauna. The spa is old-fashioned, but in a very tasteful well-kept way, with old tiles and a lovely solarium to cool off and rest in. Could so easily have been a touristy gimmick, but isn’t at all, and very reasonably priced. Quite a unique experience overall.
Not recommended if you are claustrophobic, though, as these are real caves!

My husband and I went last week when we were visiting Colorado what a relaxing time. We started with the thermal bath , then had the pumpkin body wrap . We had facials and massages I also had my upper lip waxed but she did not do a great job. She left all kinds of hair. Then there was a mix up with our massages but we still enjoyed every minute of it. Be careful if you get a facial because they want to do a lot of add ons and not tell you they are extra money. This is a great experience if you have time we were there for about six hours
