Our stay at Best Kept Secret was lovely and very relaxing. David provided us with a wealth of information on hikes, restaurants, hot springs, and other fun things to do in the area. The inn is a short stroll from many restaurants in Glenwood Springs-- David can tell you all their favorites! Bicycles were an added bonus, which, unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to use, but if we'd had a little more time, we would have gladly taken advantage of. Eliza very kindly packed us a boxed breakfast for our very early drive to the Denver airport, which was greatly appreciated and made our sunrise drive even more of a pleasure.

This BnB is a very good place to stay if you find yourself in grand Junction (which is far more pleasant than some folk think). A quiet location, with comfortable beds, hospitable hosts and a very good breakfast all at good value. Excellent advice on walks and restaurants made for a good stay.

Our stay here was just super: The location, food (especially yummy breakfasts), hikes and hot tub all helped. But what really made the visit special for us was the host and hostess. David took the time to ensure that our short visit was well spent. His stories about the area and life in general were both entertaining and instructive. We loved it.

Eliza and David are probably going to have to change the name of their B & B if they keep providing such an amazing place to stay. We had family members from 3 different states coming together for my niece's high school graduation. We were able to hang out like a real family and even took turns making breakfast for each other. The kitchen is stocked with every gadget and device known to man along with quite a few of the basic cooking supplies. They even had half and half in the refrigerator in case we didn't have time to get to the store before we needed our coffee. David is a fountain of local information. You won't need any other guide for local events or places. Eliza is as busy as her hive of bees(can't remember their name, but they don't sting) keeping the garden and flowers looking spiffy. And, do NOT skip the meditation labyrinth. It really is special. The front porch has my vote for the best part of the house, though. My family members weren't all speaking to each other when the trip was planned. But, after an evening spent together on that front porch--joking and telling embarrassing stories---it was like "old times" again! You aren't going to find that at a motel. This amazing house was in walking distance of, basically, everything--including the graduation ceremony. No parking woes! The place is spotless. The beds are comfy. The water is clean and fresh. There are hummingbirds that feed right in front of the window at the kitchen sink. If you need another reason to stay, my Mom's dog, Khloe(a plump pug with anxiety issues) gives the place a 4 Paws Up. And, she never gives anything a score that high unless it has some serious treat potential. The only regret you'll have if you choose the Best Kept Secret is that you didn't reserve it for longer.

Room tip: There are 3 bathrooms. The one near the study is small but the other is large. There is a 1/2 bath just off the kitchen.

The property was perfect for our family of 7, which included 4 adults, 1 four year old and 4 month old twins! The home was extremely comfortable and quiet. We didn't hear our crying grandchildren at all once we went to bed! It is conveniently located so walking to all the restaurants and attractions was not a problem at all. The owners were very accommodating and provided a rocking chair for me to use to rock those crying grand babies. Will definitely stay again next time we travel to Glenwood Springs.

Room tip: This is not a hotel. It is a B&B. You rent out the entire first floor which has 2 brs, 2.5 baths, full kitchen and more.
