“Beautiful.”
Reviewed 30 March 2012

The example i think best fits this adventure would have to be you gotta go through some hell to see a glimpse of heaven! Rough hike for sure wasn't expecting it to be this hard. But was way worth it! I have two small children 3 And 2yrs, who were not with us for the hike I probably will not take them up until they hit about 6 and 7.. just a heads up if your planning on taking the little ones make sure they have pants not shorts and shoes not sandles, there are some steep steps and mud. Enjoy!!

“Up Up and Oh No Way”
Reviewed 28 March 2012

This is a challenging and difficult hike. My wife and I are 40 something Coloradans that live at 6,000 ft and exercise daily we are not super-fit and we are a little overweight but this hike took us 5 hours round-trip and kicked our butts. That being said its very pretty all the way up. The hike itself is like going up a mile and a quarter set of uneven stairs. This is not a trail for the out of shape, beginners or people from lower altitude unless they run marathons. If you do go make sure you bring hiking boots 1l of water per person and snacks. A first-aid kit (for scrapes and falls) and trekking poles are a good idea also.

“Beautiful and breath-taking hike”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

Worth it. Not a long hike, but the trails at this time of year were very very icy and dangerous in places because of the shade in the canyon.

“Great Hike”
Reviewed 21 March 2012

This is a great hike. The more in shape you are the easier it will be. It says it takes 2-3 hours; the actual hike took us 1 hour up and 45 minutes down, plus the time you spend at the top. If you are going during spring be ready for some slippery, icy, snowy, muddy conditions - bring a hiking pole or be ready to hug some trees.
