Take an eclectic combination of Victorian touches and modern luxuries and art, add friendly and helpful personnel, sprinkle it with stories of former patrons, like Clark Gable and Chicago’s own Diamond Jack, put it conveniently right in the middle of town, close to everything, add a secured private parking included with the stay and a great coffee place in the lobby, and you have it: a delight!

Beautiful historic hotel in Downtown Glenwood Springs. We opted for one of the specialty rooms and were delighted with a suite overlooking the hills, Colorado River, and the restored train station. Beautifully restored room, including exposed brick. King bed very comfortable, as was separate sitting area. Two bathrooms, but - as the only down side to the accommodations - were very cramped. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. River Blend coffee shop a nice stop for coffee and a light breakfast. Attached brew pub excellent for lunch or dinner. Dozens of restaurants within a few blocks. An easy walk to the Springs via pedestrian bridge. Free parking in reserved lot a half block away.

Ideal location, lovely rooms, welcoming staff. Highly recommended.

Roger Smith and his staff were excellent hosts. The hotel is well-positioned in Glenwood Springs allowing easy access to the whole town. The rooms are exquisitely decorated. The furnishings are amazing. Everything was perfect for a family whose ages run from 8 to 69. Thanks to the entire staff.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. They have private parking close by. The hot springs pool is an easy walk across the bridge. The hotel provides locked bicycle storage. There are many restaurants within walking distance. A coffee shop and Brew Pub are attached to the hotel. The front desk staff are friendly and professional.

There is an elevator or steps. My room was very quiet; I could just barely hear a train go by once. The bed was comfy. There was a very large screen TV. The bathroom was modern. Adequate toiletries were provided. The room was very clean. There was an in room coffee maker and hair dryer.

The room did not have a microwave or refrigerator. There was no makeup mirror. The room was lacking a reading light and was quite dark when the shades were closed.

I would definitely stay here again. I loved the fact that once I arrived, I could walk to everything & didn’t hand to drive.

Nice area.
That brewery is surprisingly too much packed, food is not that good, service is mediocre. But hey it’s popular by its name right. Take a photo and leave!
Piece of advice, doc holiday bar is a stone throws away! Even on a busy night, their bartenders are experts.

Room tip: Avoid the Glenwood springs altogether. Idaho springs is way better or just stay in Denver!
