I have mixed feelings about this place. The check in process left a very negative impression of the hotel.

We were given a room which was dirty and had not been made up since the last clients left. When we mentioned this to the 'owner/manager' he gave us a different room on the ground floor (we wanted a room upstairs) but his overall attitude was awful. He blamed his cleaning crew and said it was not his problem! I mentioned that I would be reviewing the place and he said its ok since he cannot 'fix the problem' and they still get business! Well, as a business owner that kind of attitude is EXTREMELY BAD. The property is being renovated but that seems to have created 'stress' for the owner and rather than being positive and helpful he has a negative demeanor!

The room itself was ok. Our room looked clean, had all the basics. The bathroom is on the smaller side but was sufficient. The hotel offers a continental breakfast in the morning which was nice. The hotel has a 'motel feel' with all the rooms opening to the outside walkway/ balcony and you park in the front of your room. It is extremely close to the airport and I70. Downtown is not too far and there are a few restaurants around the hotel.

We stayed here only 1 night then moved to the Clarion Inn down the street which was MUCH better with a very friendly front desk staff.

Room Tip: Get an upstairs, newly renovated room

Rooms were newly renovated so was very clean. The breakfast included waffles, cereal, yogurt, bagels, juice, and a few pastries. It was a good place for passing through. The staff could have been a bit more friendly and helpful. For those who likes Italian food there is a restraunt right across the street that was very good called "Enzo's.

Room Tip: For those with accessibility issues rooms on the bottom floor would be better suited.

First time we ever stayed at. Americas Best and would stay again. Our room (#179) was a king room and very clean & quiet. Good location, great restaurant, WW Peppers, next door.
Lobby leads new decor to be welcoming but served it purpose. Typical breakfast but great coffee.
Would stay there again in a heart beat.

Owning an International business and living in Telluride, I travel both nationally and internationally frequently. When I (frequently) fly from Grand Junction, I always stay at this motel. Not only are they pet friendly, but they offer an awesome pick up and drop off service to the airport which is just minutes away, but look after my car...even over extended periods when I travel abroad.

The new owners are lovingly revamping what has been a run down motel to give it extra touches and are open for suggestions.

I HIGHLY recommend staying here if passing through Grand Junction on I70 or if flying and entrusting ones car instead of paying the exorbitant airport parking fees or if passing through with a pup or two :)

Also, their prices are hard to beat! Another great plus.
