We love their food, but the service is so...slow....We have been frustrated the last few ties we have been here. It takes forever to get your food. Design a new system for getting the meals out, Panera!

Still preferring the Panera in Lone Tree, sometimes we end up going to the Panera in Highlands Ranch (University Ave) where we live. I should mention again that Trip Advisor has the wrong city for the one in Lone Tree, on Park Meadows Drive, as it calls that one Highlands Ranch, too--but it isn't.
The real Highlands Ranch Panera is tiny, crowded, loud and markedly worse in every way from the one in Lone Tree. We visited lately, not only because we were in that area, but because they take Apple Pay. We ordered then tried to pay with Apple Pay, only to be told the iPhone I had been holding up for the purpose the whole time wasn't available at that register. In spite of having a side of French bread on my soup and sandwich choice, as well as a cookie on the sales slip, neither were given to us. We ordered the same thing recently in Lone Tree and the ½ grilled cheese sandwich was considerably larger and less messy in Lone tree, and the service was excellent. We were also charged more in Highlands Ranch for the same food--it was evidently entered separately and charged individually.
We are not likely to return to this Panera, in spite of its relative convenience, as the service and food are definitely not up to par, and the atmosphere is not agreeable.

Wanting an easier pay experience for lunch in this area, we searched out this Panera, even though it was some distance from our Highlands Ranch home. I had the Fontina grilled cheese sandwich, heavenly, but undoubtedly calorie-laden. My husband had the Frontega chicken panini, which he found too spicy and would not reorder. Their cookies are wonderful, as well. The real benefits of this somewhat average gourmet sandwich place are free wifi and effortless Apple Pay--instant secure payment and no paper receipt--worth the calories!

I like to get the soup (French Onion) and half sandwich here for lunch. It's quick and good. Sometime they are very busy and there is a line and hard to find a table. Don't go right at noon.

We picked a particular busy night to stop by and order some take-out. After waiting quite a while, my husband was called over to the cashier and told that our whole meal would be comped because we had to wait so long and yet remained patient. It was so unexpected and although not required, completely appreciated. Not to mention that the food was GREAT (smaller portions when you do take out than eat-in, but...) and we received service with a smile from everyone. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a variety of choices, friendly service and great atmosphere.
