Interesting place to visit. Who know's there's a Vineyard in Malaysia. Its quite a secluded place far from the town. We drove down from Alor Setar. Its about 1 hour drive. Place was quite big. However, only several plots are open for visiting. No self picking during our visit.
There's several variety of grapes here. I can only differentiate based on color. The purple/black & green one. I like the black one the most & it was sold at the nearby cafeteria. They sell only grapes, souvenirs & basic things. No heavy food available.
You need to pay for the entrance. The visit was more towards educational experience & fresh grapes & surprisingly it was quite tasty & sweet. My kids love this place so much.
This vineyard is unexpected for those who grew up thinking grapes only grow in temperate climate regions. Though the entrance fee is slightly pricey for Malaysians, it is educational for those who have never seen real grape plants. The place is well maintained; the toilets are clean and there are enough spots where you can just sit down and relax. The cafeteria is only open during the weekend. Good stopover for those travelling around the area.
