We so appreciated the scrumptious breakfasts we were served during our 5-day stay. The relaxed pace at the Coopers' working ranch suited us perfectly, and we found Kris particularly accommodating each time we made a special request. The Bird Room, with its extra space for a pair of recliners and its luxury king-size bedding, provided us with much-needed recuperative R & R after our marathon westbound drive to the Rockies. .

Room Tip: The Bird Room features comfy recliners, a large closet, and a private entrance with easy access to parking.

I stayed one night. It felt like a week. Very relaxing bird room. With a feather bed. I snored like a bear. I slept very good. It was a very good relaxing retreat. There was snow on the ground. The pine trees a blue spruce trees were beautiful. Very nice area. Thank you kindly. From Rita Bennett and Steve Nordstrom from Westminster Colorado.

My husband and I found Anchorage Farm Bed and Breakfast by accident, and now stay whenever we are in Colorado. Kris and Jim are very gracious, helpful, informative and kind!!! I love going to Colorado knowing I am staying with them!!! We always stay in the Bird Room, the bed is super comfy, and when I go to bed at night, it always reminds me of being home. The breakfasts are amazing, plentiful and made from scratch!!! The views are breathe taking, ambience is amazing!!! I love coming here...thank you Kris and Jim with providing us with a home away from home!!!

Kris and Jim Cooper are horse experts first and innkeepers second, and their passion for all things equestrian shows in every square inch of this beautiful mountain ranch. The indoor training arena (and the outdoor one) are first class facilities that meet every international standard, the animals are well cared for and live relatively posh horsey lives, there is a wide selection of top grade and well maintained tack to fit every rider, and the horses themselves are well trained, well mannered, and downright fun to work with. Kris and Jim are amongst the most knowledgeable, expert instructors you could ever hope to meet, with the right balance of patience and insistence to get you riding well before you know it. Anchorage Farm is just a few hundred yards from Highway 285 near Pine, but settled behind a large hill that keeps the highway noise from ever intruding upon your tranquility. Peaceful and starlit at night, the cool mountain air is perfect for sleeping after a day in the saddle. Our room was amazing, a Santa Fe themed retreat with a giant spa tub for two and the most amazingly comfortable king bed ever. Value priced B&B with amazingly low-priced riding lessons, the Anchorage Inn is a real find - we'll be going back soon!
