We had a couple of lovely cake desserts but might have thought twice if we'd realized they were $12 each.

First of all: the meat and cheese platter was pretty good.

The atmosphere could use some work. Bare walls and ceiling reflect sound, making the place noisier than a Chipotle during lunch rush. You're pretty much forced to shout, which makes it even worse. The aesthetic is understandable once you know that the place comes from the creators of Sweeties and Mo Burrito, but this is supposed to be an upscale evening hangout, not a quick lunch spot.

A glass of wine ranges from $8 - $14, steep for what is on offer. I asked the waiter for a glass of red, hoping they had a basic house wine. She wordlessly came back with something and then I realized I was probably drinking the most expensive option on the list. The bill confirmed this.

It was my fault for not being clearer, but it felt disingenuous nonetheless.

Other places offer wine, lots of other places offer wine and beer, but no place else in town offers charcuterie plates, actually served on chilled slabs of granite, like these. We came for a light dinner and found the 5 piece plate along with the generous portion of bread with tapenade and whipped cream cheese spread just right. The three cheeses and three meat selections were accompanied by house made pickles, jams and arugula. The items were well selected for a variety of flavors and textures. The server was knowledgeable about ingredients and preparation as well as interesting wine choices. We were underwhelmed by the dessert we chose, but the menu changes daily so we'll just choose differently next time.

Great places for gourmet deserts and wine. Just a cool spot to hangout and have some good wine and desert after dinner. They also have meat and cheese plates that look good. Check it out.

We enjoyed the charcuterie plate at this wine bar, which featured some truly outstanding cheeses (the goat bleu was out of this world) accompanied by an excellent bread (a hazelnut miche). The wine selection was also quite good. We had a nice time and would recommend it!
