The picture and description look lovely, and while the property is comfortable, it failed to be stunning, as described in the advert. This was largely due to the dead house plants, the caked on food on both dining table and worktop, the unclean bath, the limited kitchen utensils (no corkscrew, no grater? Basics I have had in every rented holiday property over the last 30+ years). The letting company kindly refunded a cleaning charge but would not go further than that, saying I should have reported the issues earlier. I disagree. Would the company send someone to clean the worktop within minutes so I could cook? Would they arrive to open a bottle for us or grate some cheese just as we discovered the lack of utensils? I think not. I think the key is to make sure the property is as you describe it. Certainly not value for money.
