The location was perfect! The staff were friendly and always willing to help (especially the cleaning staff!). The ski valet was a huge perk too. We also loved the market pantry, but we wished it was open all day.More

We stayed here in late February 2021. The hotel has all the features one would expect of a Grand Hyatt. What makes this hotel one of the best I stayed at was the friendly and professional staff. They simply went out of their way to ensure we were happy. The other amazing part of this hotel is that it has a dedicated chair lift. The Ski Valet is wonderful in which they literally bring your gear to you so there is no lugging around skis, poles or boots. I want to give an extra shout out to Rose, the shuttle driver. She was very helpful and friendly to our group. Elaine, the restaurant host, made sure we had reservations at the restaurant when we needed. Darrick, DiDi and Vania at the front desk were very professional and went out of there way to help us. Lastly, Christina at the concierge is a super hero and got us reservations at the Fitz Restaurant in Vail village at the perfect time on a day when everything was sold out.

We had an overall pleasant stay for a few days' skiing...fantastic ski valet service and "private" access to/from the mountain, which is this resort's strongest attribute. The hotel interior/ambience lacked a "homeyness" and warmth..from the inside, it didn't feel like an alpine experience, but if you're fortunate to have a mountain view from your room...wonderful! Food and beverage options limited and above average, but not exciting given the mountain prices. Solid but not spectacular.

Hyatt Explorist member. First time in Vail. Let's start with valet which came across as money vultures. Once we forgot to tip, and they didn't turn car on for me and my fiance in 3 degree weather. They never explained to us that there was a shuttle or even a ski in ski out! We ended up taking a car to Vail ski resort only to be told there on the last day that the Hyatt had a full service for all of this! None of this was ever explained to us. Mattress was EXTRA soft. Every Hyatt I been to has a Medium/Medium-firm mattress, well except this one of course! Asked for a printed bill at checkout and they made it seem like I'm a martian for asking. Asked to confirm if one of the nights was all points used and they were taken back as if I was being rude for asking. They kept insisting it was all standard rate only to realize a minute later that indeed I had points used for one of the nights. Just rude all around. The COVID mask mandate is over the top insane. Put mask on when standing at bar, but no mask when sitting at bar 1 foot away from standing (even though no drink or food). They will yell at you if you get that wrong. Mentality here and in this area in general is like a different life form. People getting into the elevator side ways at the farthest distance away from me even though I have my mask on. Got a $300 massage that required me face down with mask on and barely able to breathe/enjoy the massage. Do yourself a favor, don't visit Vail and this Hyatt specifically unless you are extremely cautious about COVID AND like to be treated like just another random pesky guest.

Staff dedicated to excellent service, from pre-arrival phone calls to front desk and ski valet to the morning we left. Rooms are beautiful and we enjoyed breakfast downstairs, with a breathtaking view of the mountain. Our kids loved the hot chocolate in the lobby. Felt welcome everywhere. This was my first time to Vail, but as we left, family already planning a return very soon. Amazing hotel!

Amazingly friendly staff at a property with a great location for skiers. We did not use the onsite ski lift or services. We were hear to celebrate a bithday weekend. Christina Schoeni made sure we had an amazing arrival package and took care of all our dinner reservations (offsite). Front desk and valet were really helpful as well. We had some housekeeping issues when we first arrived but we asked for clean linen and purchased cleaning supplies to clean the room ourselves. There was no microwave in the room and the mini fridge wasnt cool enough to store anything in it, so we kept our drinks on the balcony as it was below freezing outside. Not what we were expecting in an +800/night Grand Hyatt. A year into Covid restrictions and the dining options (breakfast) were still VERY limited. I would recomend eating off property. Northside Kitchen is a great dining option. On a high note the Hotel has ax throwing, ski lift, and ice skating on site.
Would have loved it if there were an adult only indoor pool, hot tub, or sauna available.
