Great for dogs. Not at all busy in the off-season. Be aware of curves as bikers can be moving quickly.

This is a must do activity. The path is next to the river. So there are great views all along the path.

The Vail Bike Path does meander through Vail village along the creek (as many other reviewers have covered) which is very scenic. The path continues east out of town by the golf course and continues UP to Vail Pass (about 13-14 miles east of town). As you can imagine this is a strenuous bike path, running parallel to I-70, mostly in the forest, but there a few sections where the path is very close to I-70. For the very ambitious, the bike path continues over the pass through copper Mountain ski resort and onto Frisco and Breckenridge. From the center Vail Village all the way to Breck would be approximately 40 miles.

I live in Copper mountain and ride this regularly. The path is wide, not crowded, lots of turns and hills - all with beautiful views!

Anytime of year it is awesome to walk the recreation path through town instead of taking the in-town. It is easier it walk in summer other than winter as you can see the path without the snow, however it is a great walk to get out and walk next to the river and clear your mind or just to enjoy the sights. During summer it is a great biking path as well!
