My husband planned a weekend for us in Connecticut to visit Gillette mansion. He did all the research and selected this inn. The innkeepers live on site and are quite attentive. We got in late and they dialed the restaurant to see if we could still get dinner. There are nice places to eat and the opera house within two blocks. The opera house actually does broadway shows so book a show before you come. The breakfast was great. Unique our room was had a sauna which we used three times in two days. There are books everywhere and we loved looking at these. We had a private entrance. With a patio. The room was large it even had a small bed tucked in the back room off the bathroom. This is an old historic house with charm.
The bed was very comfortable and the lightening in the room was good for reading More
