My husband and teenage son had a wonderful one night stay at Boardman House Inn. The hosting family was very nice and accommodating, especially since our flight was 2 hours delayed and we were late for arrival. We stayed in the two rooms in the back of the house. The Garden Room for my husband and me, and the French room for our son. It was a very nice set up, with both rooms having an exterior entrance. Sometimes, at a B&B, one can feel intrusive to a private family. With the separate entrance, we could come and go as we pleased without feeling like we were bothering anyone. The rooms were really well appointed, with modern bathrooms and very fast wifi. The decor was very traditional with lots of antiques and had a very cozy feel. The breakfast was simple, but delicious. The boys enjoyed the french toast. If we are in the area again, we will seek out the Boardman House Inn. Thanks to Mia for a very nice stay.

Enjoyed a wonderful romantic evening at The Boardman House Inn. We have stayed at many Inn's and it is so difficult to find a small quant Inn (5 rooms) that also combines some modern comfort features that does not take away from the charm of the Inn. The Boardman House achieves all this and more! Our "Corner Room" was quiet, comfortable and quant. Throw in the benefits of a marble bathroom floor (yes, with radiant heat!) and marble shower and it is more than you can ask for. Throw in the yummy home cooked French toast breakfast and wonderful hospitality of the Innkeeper, Mia, and you get a wonderful experience. Completing the memorable short weekend was an evening at the Goodspeed Theatre seeing a musical production and dinner at a local restaurant, literally steps from the Inn. All in all, a fantastic quick romantic getaway. I highly recommend the Inn and location.

Room Tip: Stayed on ground floor but you may consider an upper floor for additional privacy.

Went to this Connecticut B&B, the first my wife and I had visited as part of birthday celebration for her, after having gone to many B&B's throughout the rest of New England. We will likely look to be back in the future, as the room we selected was an excellent room, with a comfortable bed, and I loved the high ceilings and the decor throughout the room. The style of the inn (which was refreshing) was unlike many New England B&Bs, that are so full of country doilies. The owner was also very friendly, and the two breakfasts she served over the weekend were delicious. We hope to return when it's a little warmer, and the theater season is on.

We thank you for the kind words and are glad you enjoyed so many aspects of our historic property. We always appreciate compliments on our decor. We are grateful to be located in such a charming neighborhood and just a short walk from Goodspeed Musicals. I hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Boardman House the next time your travels bring you to the Lower Connecticut River Valley.

My daughter and I had business in the Haddam area on the same day as a devastating snowstorm hit CT. We conducted our business and looked for a place to stay, as driving was almost impossible. There are two B & B's in the area. The first one asked us to leave a message so we phoned the second one, The Boardman House. Mia answered the phone and was happy to accommodate us for the evening. She made our visit so enjoyable. The room was beautiful and the heated bathroom floor and towel rack was an unexpected luxury. Our French Toast breakfast was the best. and seconds were available if we wanted them. Will definitely keep this place in mind when traveling to Haddam.
