Picturesque little place with a warm European touch serving simple but tasty dishes. The service can be excruciating slow at times but the staff is nice. Definitely try the hot chocolate and the croissants.

Had lunch salad which was good, not really a healthy eater rather prefer comfort food but it was enjoyable and I am sure the food is exactly right for those who like that sort of thing

For the second time, the service was still awful. The place had one other table occupied at the time that I went and I sat there for 10 minutes before someone finally decided to amble over and take my order. They could barely be bothered! NEVER AGAIN. Which is too bad, because the food is good and the servers at the take-out section are personable.

Whether one is in need of sustenance after a shopping spree on "the Avenue" - that's Greenwich Avenue to the uninitiated - or just a charming daytime repast, head on down to one of our favorites, Le Pain Quotidian at the lower end and be rewarded.

A Belgian bakery with a seasonal menu featuring many organic selections, pasteries, a variety of hot and cold beverages, open face sandwiches or tartines, soups, hot dishes and desserts, this LPQ offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon snacks Mon.- Fri. 7:00am - 5:00pm; Sat. - Sun. 8:00am - 6:00pm.

On one unseasonally hot August day this summer our lunch group began with Watermelon Coolers all around and enjoyed a variety of tartines: Chicken Curry Salad, Prosciutto, Ricotta and Fig, Smoked Salmon and an Oven-Roasted Chicken Cobb Salad. Thank goodness we couldn't resist the Nectarine and Almond Tart.

As usual, the service was excellent and we all noticed the welcoming, attentive manager helping relieve a log jam at the community table by serving two patrons himself. Great atmosphere!

A small selection of gourmet items - think hostess gifts - and delicious baked goods are available to go so parting from this delightful experience isn't quite final.

I have been here several times for meetings with business colleagues for a quick omelet, cappuccino or salad at lunch. My colleagues seem to gravitate to the oatmeal and fresh fruit that looks absolutely beautiful and tasty. I love the atmosphere, the service is pretty good, seating is also easy and plentiful. The only comment I have for them to improve is to take away the "mens" and "women's" bathroom sign, because there are only 2 in this establishment, and they have more women than men coming here. Why make someone wait?
