We all like sushi, but our grown daughter is a sushi addict. She just can't get enough of the stuff. So when she comes to visit, we know we're headed to Kawa Saki, where she can stuff herself on the all-you-can-eat menu. It's a pretty amazing value, and she gets to order three huge plates of food, which always come beautifully presented. We've never had sushi here that wasn't fresh and delicious (highly recommend any of the chef's specials, particularly the salmon offerings), and the cooked food is good, too. Just last night we got take-out: the hibachi salmon for my husband, which featured a hefty portion of tender, tasty fish, a ton of fried rice, and a heaping portion of sauteed squash. I was craving noodles, so I got the yaki udon--a little bland, but hit the spot. Litchfield doesn't have a good Chinese restaurant, so we're very grateful that at least some of our Asian cravings can always be sated at Kawa Saki.

Lunch all you can eat sushi is good but it is not a buffet. You get to order up to three times off of the menu. What we had was good quality. The service was poor. Language barrier being part. But smiles and being friendly is universal. Our waitress seemed bothered to be serving us and also did not offer us a second beer nor refill our water without us asking.

This sushi restaurant located in a strip mall in Litchfield is not one to go to. Our waitress did not speak english so getting any explanations of the dishes was next to impossible. None of the other wait staff that we talked to were any better. The room is very bland, giving next to no atmosphere. There is a bar with wine but my Mai Tai was pretty bad and that is a drink that is hard to mess up. We ordered edamame, some sushi rolls and vegetable tempura. They brought a plate covered with a woven basket lid. There was nothing under the basket so we thought it was the place to discard out edamame husks. After a long wait for the edamame, our entrees arrived. We asked where the edamame was and the waitress lifted the woven basket lid and we think she said the edamame was already delivered and we ate it. At that point we tried to explain there was no edamame cancelled the order and started eating the entrees. The vegetable tempura was nothing special and the sushi not much better. 1/2 way thru the meal she delivered our cancelled edamame. It took a bit of discussion to explain that we cancelled it. At least we weren't charged for it. Overall a very poor experience.

Over all great experience! I love that this is so close to home and reasonably priced. I tried to get take out at the sushi place in Washington Depot, but decided to dine here instead. The hour wait wasn't worth it. The ladies were very attentive although one waitress seemed to be under training. The food has been very fresh and delicious both times I've eaten here. Not an upscale place, but extremely delicious, beautiful presentation, and friendly staff.
