Let me first start off by saying that this was no Las Vegas casino but it did have it's charms. I visited Foxwoods on a business/pleasure over night trip. I reserved a 1 bedroom suite that was spacious, clean and comfortable. The decor wasn't exactly wowing (more like a Holiday Inn) however it did it's job. The room service was quick and attentive as were the bellhops. I had to have something delivered over to the MGM Foxwoods Casino and the bellhop came from there and picked up my package and delivered it. We ate dinner at Shrine then went into the nightclub. Not bad.
Now the unpleasant part... the transportation issue. Foxwoods is HUGE. 3 casinos rolled into one large long as heck walk. Any lady that wears heels will find this most unpleasant. There is a shuttle.. the driver pulled up in the pouring rain but refused to pull under the awning so we wouldn't get wet. Thanks. The front desk was also lacking in customer service.. very miserable girl checked us in.. never asked if we needed any help wit bags etc.. standard at most hotels worth their salt. Would probably not stay in the Great Cedar portion of the Foxwoods again but would be willing to try the MGM.More
