Description: Barcelona New Haven opened in 2006 and is our largest restaurant in CT. Winner of the New Haven Advocate's "Best New Restaurant" and "Best Wine List," Barcelona is located next to the Omni Hotel in downtown New Haven just steps from Yale University. Here we have combined some of our favorite elements in a single location. A street level lounge overlooks a dining bar area with a stone fireplace. The sophisticated glass-and-steel dining room is framed by a 2000-bottle refrigerated wine cellar. The dramatic 80-seat private room is dominated by a larger than life, wall to wall, 30-foot mural of a Spanish bullfighter, and a 20-person chef's table, fashioned from a single walnut tree, borders the busy open kitchen.

Awesome Wine Bar Spanish tapas an interesting food. A little bit hard to find there's no sign. Definitely worth stopping for tapa, drink or dinner.

This is a typical tapas restaurant. Decent selection of appetizers and Tapas. If you're interested in the finger type food and a glass of wine this is your place. If you want to have a regular dinner this is not for you. Food is decent but not exceptional

This restaurant has several locations in CT and never fails to please. The tapas are always so good and the selections appealing. If you don't like the noisiness of the place then consider going during happy hour times when the atmosphere is a bit different. Worth a visit and definitely the food!

Great atmosphere, many tapas to choose from and extensive wine list. This is a fun place to have dinner. You'll feel happy just walking in. Ladies be forewarned, if you're date brings you here he's either trying to make a good impression or he's trying to get in your pants cause this place will do the trick.

Despite the well elaborated menu and balanced wine list, we found it to be
Overpriced.
As the restaurant gets busier with the drinking crowd, the quality of the service
Dramatically gets reduced. Thus, I would recommend this place only for casual tapas while having drinks, as opposed to having a sit down meal, which will be difficult to achieve in such noisy environment
