It's a rather small place but the lines seems to move well. Just go with the original pie. Love the tomato sauce and fresh ingredients.

Believe it or not, this is the place that invented pizza.
Very simple, very good pizza, worth the wait

In the area visiting family and wanting to visit a food legend so we had to go to Frank Pepe for the white clam pizza. Even thought we were visiting in another town, close to one of the new locations, we wanted the original. After reading reviews we decided the Spot was the location we wanted (right behind the other location on Wooster). Being early afternoon on a Tuesday we had no wait for a table. The waitress was friendly and informative. I chose a 12" white clam and my wife chose the 12" fresh tomato (seasonal offering). We also had a Peroni (me) and a white birch (her). The wait for our "abeetz" wasn't that long. I liked the thin crust which was "chewy" as compared to most thin crusts which are cracker like. The clam pizza was ok, the clam pieces were rather large and chewy and fairly sparse for the only topping. I'd have liked more clams chopped a bit smaller. The fresh tomato pie was very good, but could have used much more basil. Rather small bits were found under and embedded in the cheese. On our way out we stepped into the to-go pickup area for a photo of the oven. It was a nice gesture by the cook to open the door of the fire chamber and move to the side so we could get that ah-ha photo. I'll mark Pepe's off my culinary bucket list.

I never thought I would like a Clam Pizza, but this is delicious. Wish there was a Frank Pepes close to where I live.
