I have been eating pizza at Pepe's for 60 years and never once went to their competitor - Sally's (no longer there). The coal oven makes the pizza great. Service is fast, even if there is a line outside you will get in somewhat quickly. We had the GREAT white clam pizza and a pepperoni/onion pizza. Both still fantastic. The white clam pizza is their invention - actually pizza in America was invented here too. If in New Haven - head to Wooster St.

Me and my 2 kids visited here on July 30th. We had heard about it from several different people. We got a clam pizza and a margarita pizza, both were delicious. We will definitely make a trip to come back

That as the best Pizza I ever had. The whole experience was very colorful – the oven, the fire, the surroundings, the crowd inside and outside the Pizza Shop. I've been there with my son, we've ordered two pizzas, for some reason they forgot one. That was a problem but they gave one for free what we left.
Again, the pizza pie us GREAT!

We went to the K of C museum and the people working there recommended this place as it has award winning white clam pizza. We had the seasonal tomato pie as recommended by the waitress. It was fantastic. We ordered a small and it was fabulous

We moved out of CT about 5 yrs ago and Pepe’s is one of the reasons we just had to visit CT again. We had the white clams and Italian sausage Pepperoni. Yum! Their pizza has a peculiar taste and texture that you can’t find in any other. Not even in the other Pepe’s Pizza locations. They say the secret is in the oven stone that was brougt in from Italy for this original shop. Rain or shine, you would see a queue at the door and this visit was no exception. Couldn’t wait so we opted for carry out and took our pizza to the park right around the corner. So that’s my tip for the very hungry. There’s a park round the bend where you can enjoy your pie still piping hot. Just ask for free paper plates & napkins.
